I’ve been kicking it out on Vashon Island since the end of last month, coming to the city just a couple of times to pick up my mail and various life enhancement products. And, by “city” I mean my humble and sweet neighborhood just across the water from The Rock. Today marked the first day I crossed the West Seattle bridge since July 29.

It was a great break.

I’m marking my return to civilization by starting this blog. Not quite sure what direction it will take — I’ve spent too much time pondering what I want it to be, which is ridiculous. While I’m pretty sure I will share the address and hope my friends will give it a glance on occasion, at the end of the day I am just writing for me.

So, really, who gives a fuck about what direction it takes? Like any good road trip, I’ll figure it out as I go. There will be lots of photos. Maybe lots of words. Maybe nothing.
