let your conscience be your guide

I don’t know this photo’s origin, but it is easily one of my top ten from Occupy Wall Street thus far.
I’ve been unsure about this blog, as evidenced by the lack of recent posts. I’ve been writing a lot, but not here.
Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don’t.

Kerri, I encourage you to continue. I’ve always enjoyed reading your posts and missed them these past few months. You always give me something good to listen to and think about. And, it’s one of my favorite ways to procrastinate before I dive in to my own writing.
or…you could write a book. just a thought.

Kerri, I met this guy holding a new version of the same sign today (the previous one was destroyed during the march on Brooklyn Bridge). I’ve been at the OWS/Zuccotti Park protests for the past week during my freetime while working on my next book. The dude’s name is Mickey. He recently completed a degree in Communication Arts…and he communicates well. Really, he’s quite articulate. OWS is amazing as I’m seeing our culture wake up and engage–it is a stunning cultural shift we are witnessing, even if it will be a marathon and not a sprint. The spirit and love at Zuccotti Park reminds us that humanity is glorious…even as it suffers due to a greedy, corrupt financial system. All generations, religions, and ethnicities are present and talking to one another…in a word: BEAUTIFUL. Don’t stop the blog…please.
